oh hello

By The Coast.
Nook of the elbow, or crest of a wave.
Kirsten's practice involves harnessing site-specific painting as an embodied centred research lens, where she looks to question situated knowledges and myths surrounding shapeshifting landscapes, tapping into her lived experience of recovery from Anorexia Nervosa.
Neither here nor there.
She creates an embodied portrayal of the space between,
loose, fast and of the sea.
By the coast,
But beyond the tidal reach.
Kirsten graduated with an MFA in Contemporary Art Practice from Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh, in 2021. She graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the University of Leeds in 2018.
